Along with the other basic needs like Age, PAN account etc, you need the below 3 to be able to Trade/Invest in stock market.

1) Demat Account
Demat account, is a facility to hold your share certificates or other securities in electronic format. The way you need bank account to keep your money, the same way you need a Demat Account to keep your shares.

2) Trading Account
Stocks are traded in exchanges like NSE or BSE, but you can not participate in such exchanges directly. To be able to buy/sell in stock exchange, you need to go via a registered broker. Brokers provide you a trading account using which you can trade in exchanges.
To open a trading account with a registered broker, either you need to link your existing Demat account with your trading account or you can open a new Demat account.

3) Linked Bank Account
Securities are purchased through a trading account, held in a Demat account, and payments are done through the linked bank account. Similarly once you sell your holdings and book the profit, you must transfer the money to your bank account before being able to use that money.

Once you open an account with any stock broker like Zerodha, they will open the Demat and Trading account for you and they will also facilitate you to link your bank account with the newly opened trading account.
